Before You Can Build Your Own Website

1) Create a Domain Name. A domain name is the name for your website. The possibilities for domain names are endless. You'll want to keep your domain name about what your website content will be. Be creative, you can use numbers and dashes.  Click the link below to check availability.

2) Find a domain name service(DNS).  The domain name service (DNS) converts domain names to IP addresses. You may want to register your domain name two years, if you plan to monetize your web site, because the rankings will be higher with search engines.  Here is a list of Domain Name Servers that Host Gator has instructions for, but any should work.                                    

3) Find, a Website Host, also called simply host, a business providing a monthly service storing website files and making them available to Internet. I prefer Host Gator because they host unlimited domain names with their "baby" package. With Host Gator you can install a WordPress blog.  Host Gator has click by click instructions under the support tab. You can go with a combined DNS and Hosting, but you will probably pay for hosting over and over if you're building multiple sites.

4) Direct your domain name sever(DNS) to your website. (If your DNS is not your Host you may still have to do this. I'm not sure because, I don't use the same DNS as Host).  You will have to wait a day or two for your domain name server(DNS) to propagate your domain name. Steps 1&2 are the easy part steps 3&4 is where it gets a little tricky but you can do it.  That's why I chose Host Gator. The instructions are all there, you just have to read them.  There are a lot of videos too, with click by click instructions. Make Money From Home With My Computer

  If you are a victim of this slow and fearful economy like myself, you are probably trying to figure out how to make money from home. Well so am I.  I bought this internet course about niche marketing.  I'm building my first web site.  It's still a little rough.  Keep in mind this isn't just switching gears for me.  I used to do only manual labor for a living until I was laid off.  Well I'm still laid off, an employee of the state unemployment check and I don't like it at all. That's why I'm going to get myself up out of the mud.  "I think I can" and I'm going to make money from home with my computer.  I'll keep you posted.
